Here are the five lagoons of the municipality with the famous wetlands protected by the international Convention Ramsar. Lagoons, a real jewel for the municipality, including rare bird species nesting or stoping here during their long journey to northern Europe. The only refuge for protected Great White Egret and place of the impressive Flamigos which that fly by the thousands in the summer sky. In particular the path that connects Mesi with Arogi is an ideal place for observation of the unique and rare beauty of nature for eco-tourism lovers. The City Aigeirou made enormous efforts to protect,utilize and develop this natural wealth, through programs funded by European and national funds.
